How we work
Babcock Research staff are skilled, specialist researchers, expert in the fields of education, training, employment and skills. Our clients know that we are flexible and responsive, and that we ‘go the extra mile’ to deliver high quality outputs to challenging deadlines. Our research is all conducted in accordance with the MRS Code of Conduct.
Our underpinning principles:
- Formative
We understand that our work will have a direct impact on the provision of services and will be used to help shape those services on an on-going basis. Our aim is always to work flexibly and in close collaboration with clients to ensure that this is achieved (while retaining our independence). We pride ourselves on working closely with partnerships, taking an active role in steering groups and contributing fully to evolving initiatives.
- Open
Research and evaluation undertaken is subject to rigorous quality procedures and management systems. This means our work can be open and transparent which allows clients to replicate methods for progress measurement, if required.
- Independent
Babcock Research abides by all professional protocols on ethics, confidentiality, data protection etc. We understand the importance of research findings being presented by an independent body. Our research and reporting is always conducted independently and impartially.
- Inclusive
We strongly believe that research and evaluation is done ‘with’ participants, and not done ‘to’ them. The inclusion of service users and stakeholders in the work is vital.
